Our Dear Friend Lisa Scott's Jaden Creation!
Hey Dorene,
It was amazing. The gravy was actually delicious. Let's see if I can remember what I put in.
Jaden Pot Roast:
2 beef boullion cubes
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 packet of Jaden dressing
1 tsp. black pepper
1 medium onion, cut into chunks
2 1/2 cups water.
This would be enough for a 3-4 lb. beef or pork roast.
I browned the roast with about 2 Tbl oil in a frypan, then put it in the crockpot. I mixed all the ingredients together and then poured it over the roast. Cooked it for 4 hours. then I took out the roast, strained the juice, added flour and about 1/2 cup water, whisked it, thickened it, and served as gravy.
The came out moist and tender, and very flavorful. We had company, and they put gravy on the mashed potatoes, meat, then they were dipping their rolls in the gravy. Big hit.
Lisa Scott
